Scott Gray is known for empowering people. As a leader he strives for a “flat” organization where every individual has the resources and authority necessary to achieve his or her responsibilities. And he creates working environments that both encourage and reward achievement. At the same time, he recognizes that as a leader, he is ultimately responsible for success or failure.
He works to ensure that the organizations he leads are truly reflective of the communities and audiences they serve.
He is especially cognizant of the importance of effective, mutually-supportive relationships with those responsible for organizational governance and provides them with unparalleled support and resources to make their terms of office effective, enjoyable, and a growth experience.
And he has ongoing international influence in sharing effective non-profit leadership and organizational strategies as a faculty member in the College of Extended & International Education at California State University, Dominguez Hills. He has taught a wide range of seminars on all facets of management and organizational leadership to visiting international business executives, most frequently from China.
