Delivering excellence in program coordination and community engagement is the hallmark of my 10+ year career, and I am eager to transition my skills to a career within higher education administration. These experiences have provided me with a diverse skill set in teaching, financial management, student development, data analysis, event planning, and digital marketing. I am highly regarded as an out-of-the-box thinker committed to creating innovative programs and forming strategic community partnerships to provide academic support and meet student needs.
From my time as a High School Teacher and Media Artist to my current role as Program Manager, my focus has been on developing diverse and innovative programming for audiences without access to visual and performing arts. During my tenure as Program Manager with SFMOMA (2015 – Current), I have cultivated strong relationships with high school administrators and community members, while leveraging my vast project management experience to define goals and deliver programs that achieve measurable success.
While serving as the Program Director for the small non-profit Southern Exposure (2012 – 2015), I worked within a $100K annual budget to manage an eclectic set of art programs that served several hundred underserved students each year. I also conducted ongoing educational workshops for resident artists to train in teaching best practices, led the organization's recruitment strategy, and spearheaded a digital marketing strategy to promote programs across all social media and web channels.
As a Program Coordinator at MACLA (2011 – 2012) directed the planning and administration of numerous digital arts community programs, as well as managed several high-profile stakeholders to design, build, and open a state-of-the-art digital media academy. I have also acted as the Education Coordinator for Zero 1 / Adobe Youth Voices (2010), where I held digital workshops for students and produced eye-catching graphical materials to support marketing efforts. In addition, I offered expert advice and training to teachers on how to utilize and best integrate education technology into their classrooms as the New Media Coordinator at the Palo Alto Arts Center (2008 – 2010).
