As a non-profit attorney with a comprehensive background in non-profit compliance, human resources, employment law, fundraising, and business and legal affairs, I am an experienced professional seeking a position where my experience will benefit the mission and goals of an exempt organization. I have worked with large and small business clients, and internally with an exempt organization. I work well within the corporate structure, with internal stakeholders, clients, outside vendors and other third parties, including outside counsel. I have handled numerous internal compliance issues, audit matters, intellectual and other property projects and agreements, as well as legal and business affairs issues. Handled employment and human resources legal issues, policies and procedures corporate-wide (multiple states and internationally), including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, HIPAA and workers’ compensation. Conducted internal investigations of employment, human resources and other matters.
Conducted comprehensive research and analysis of complex legal issues, with accountability for negotiating and executing joint venture arrangements, retaining trademarks and other property rights and licenses.
Assisted and provided direction and oversight of the organization’s day-to-day operations, with an emphasis on conducting independent audit matters such as cash and non-cash donor relations, gift-in-kind income, inventory and distribution, Form 990 and other regulatory filings and compliance, both domestically and internationally.
