Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Manager, Risk, Compliance & Audits with excellent communication and customer service skills to work in our Downtown Los Angeles Headquarters. Leads the routine compliance and risk management/risk mitigation oversight, monitoring and auditing of internal business functions within PPLA to ensure compliance and quality assurance with all statutory, regulatory and internal requirements as well as accreditation standards, and PPLA policies and procedures as they relate to PPLA programs. Our Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field including healthcare administration, law, justice, or combination of Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare with added work experience in the described regulatory, audit, compliance and risk areas CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance) certified, or willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire CHPC (Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance) certified, or willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with healthcare compliance, risk management and quality management required Availability to work flexible hours, as required Ability and willingness to travel to and visit Planned Parenthood centers This position requires an employee to have a valid CA driver’s license, a reliable means of transportation and carry current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of the California Vehicle Code About the position: Oversee the development and maintenance of audit tools based on applicable regulatory and internal audit protocols. Update audit tools at least annually to reflect changes to audit protocols Manage the development, maintenance and training for Agency policies, procedures, and operational manuals related to risk and compliance Manage the development, maintenance and implementation of the Agency enterprise compliance work plan and audit schedules Manage the development of Agency audit activities to ensure robust oversight and monitoring of compliance and risk issues for business areas Assist with oversight of corrective action initiatives for business areas stemming from ongoing compliance monitoring, risk mitigation analyses, and internal audit activities Review and keep abreast of legislation, board of pharmacy regulation, laws, guidelines, and compliance information to ensure Agency meets all compliance requirements Participate in and assist in managing the preparation of enterprise compliance, risk and quality Committee meetings, and corresponding audit reports Participate in workgroups that address both clinical and non-clinical internal activities to meet any regulatory, contractual, internal or other requirements.
