Under the direct supervision of the President, the full-time Communications & Events Coordinator assists in developing and implementing programs and communications to capture interest, encourage involvement, and gain support for IVCLA. This includes assisting in the development of membership materials, social media outreach and special events planning, and representing IVCLA at events, activities, and meetings. Functions of the Communications & Events Coordinator include: Assist with the planning and execution of all events including panel discussions, fundraising events and monthly mixers with an international focus Prepare newsletter publications and public relations communications Manage all social media platforms and their content Manage website and update content Serve as a liaison for current and potential membership, assist with the development and retention of membership and update membership database SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field Excellent writing and editing skills to prepare clear, concise correspondence, and other communications Strong verbal communication skills Knowledge of using social media and online platforms for marketing Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and Wix (preferred) Ability to multi-task and attend to detail under tight deadlines Strong organizational skills Ability to work with many types of people from varied cultures Interest in international relations and related fields Flexibility to work a few evenings as needed for special events DETAILS On-site Location Full Time Schedule 4-Year Degree Required Entry level How To Apply firstname.lastname@example.org https://www.ivcla.org/ Please submit a cover letter, resume and three professional references to Hannah Stoddard at email@example.com with the subject line “Communications & Events Coordinator”.
