Job Description

The Immigration Department of Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc. in Plantation, Florida seeks a paralegal to assist the legal team with immigration cases for victims of crime. Experience preparing VAWA petitions and U visa applications is required. Duties include answering the Unit’s phone and returning messages, client interviews, case file preparation, case management, drafting of letters and forms for attorney review, scheduling appointments, phone intakes, and translations. Bilingual/multilingual candidates fluent in Spanish, Haitian Creole, French, or Portuguese are preferred. Position begins early May. Salary DOE, good benefits including health and dental insurance and vacation and sick leave. Good work-life balance.
