Pablove HQ is located in a charming, historic 1920’s Spanish revival building in the heart of Hollywood. Our space is home to a team of dedicated, creative professionals who are working to change the world.

Pablove is looking for a Finance Director to join our hard working, mission-driven team. Pablove’s crew, culture and environment are the heartbeat of our organization. We work collaboratively to achieve Pablove’s strategic plan, culture of philanthropy and vision: helping kids with cancer live – a love-filled life today, and a cancer-free life tomorrow. The Finance Director will play a leading role in one of Pablove’s most important and visible support services – our finances.  S/he will help Pablove reach our strategic goals by ensuring that our financial models, controls, accounting and operations are seamless and forward thinking.

The Finance Director provides both operational and programmatic support for the organization, including budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and revenue management. Reporting directly to the COO, the Finance Director oversees the Finance model, and ensures a seamless forward thinking operation.  They will serve as the ultimate financial leader to lead fiscal continuity.



Reporting to the COO, the Finance Director will have the following responsibilities including but not limited to:


Finance Operations  

  • Oversees, and owns all accounts, purchase orders, receivables, charges, collections, write offs, posting, payable, balancing and monthly closing and account reconciliation.
  • Ensure that Pablove has enough cash and liquidity on hand to service its operations.
  • Advise on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters
  • Support the development of financial and tax strategies
  • Coordinate with external auditors and Board Finance Committee.
  • Responsible for providing direction, guidance and training Finance Department and staff.
  • Improve administrative and operational accounting services such as treasury management, grants payment processing, payroll, accounts payable, and purchasing.
  • Monitor revenue In partnership with the VP of Development and COO.
  • Oversee data collection and input financial transactions into cloud platforms such as Quickbooks and Salesforce; monitor the frequency and accuracy of transactions.
  • Leads all aspects of payroll
  • Provide accurate and thorough financial reports to the Executive Team and the Board of Directors as needed.
  • Ensure annual development of a comprehensive well-vetted operating budget that can achieve strategic targets.



  • Manage cash flow and develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
  • Develop, implement and oversee financial forecasting models for all revenue streams and associated costs. Develop the development and implementation of an annual strategic plan and budget for the finance department and monitor performance goals against the plan.
  • Assist COO to create and maintain financial structure presentations for Executive Team and Board of Directors


Risk Management

  • Own financial process systems including accounts, roles and responsibilities, error management and conflict of interest
  • Leads financial integrity to protect Pablove’s financial systems
  • Champions relationship with Pablove’s external auditor to ensure full oversight of annual 990.
  • Collaborate with Pablove’s Board of Directors’ Finance Committee to eliminate risk while maintaining the integrity of the foundation .
  • Ensure that the organization monitors risk and liability in business and programmatic operations.
  • Partner with  HR + Operations Manager and COO, identifying insurances required, liaising with brokers, selecting and maintaining insurance renewals.



  • Manage the organization’s investment portfolio and financial assets according to the set objective, strategy and investment plan.
  • Liaise with external investment account managers and report to the Executive Team, Board Finance Committee and Board of Directors on Pablove’s progress.
  • Lead projects to address the foundation’s future growth plans.
  • Track and report on the foundation’s fixed and depreciable assets. Report on loss, waste, obsolescence and fraud.



  • 10 years of experience in finance or accounting fields
  • 5 years of supervisory and leadership experience
  • Strong thought leader with an ability to partner with C-Level leaders and Board of Directors
  • Superior critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to see the “so what” in numbers – so much so that it drives cohesive departments vs. siloes
  • Skilled communicator who can deliver reliable and relevant information to different and diverse levels of stakeholders
  • Navigates quickly and demonstrates sound decision-making when approached with ambiguity
  • Multi-dimensional thinker who moves seamlessly between creative problem solving, critical and strategic thinking
  • Knowledgeable with Quickbooks, Expensify and Salesforce
  • Has a strong belief in Pablove’s approach of art and science in the pediatric cancer field
