The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association is currently seeking a:

Campaign Project Manager

Founded in 1919, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association's mission is to perform, present, and promote music in its varied forms at the highest level of excellence to a diverse and large audience, both at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl.  The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association is dedicated to continuing its pre-eminent status in the music world of the 21st century.

Position Summary:

The Campaign Project Manager, reporting to the Board Liaison/Senior Gift Officer, effectively oversees and implements projects, including Centennial Campaign and Board of Directors’ events as assigned by the Board Liaison/Senior Gift Officer. Develop and provide strategic support for volunteer leadership committees, including Board Engagement Committee, Advancement Committee, and Governance Committee. Contribute to the overall success of the Centennial Campaign and Board of Director activities.

Position Elements:

  • Manage and implement campaign and Board events including:
    • Board stewardship events: Smaller dinners hosted by Board members to recognize gifts, welcome and/or recruit new Directors
    • Prepare Development/Campaign reports for Board meetings
    • Other events as assigned by the Chief Advancement Officer
  • Work as assigned by the CAO and the Board liaison (and as appropriate other team members within development) to create event’s structure (including entertainment and speakers) and prospect list, and manage RSVP tracking
  • Create event budgets and negotiate vendor contracts
  • Prepare post-event analysis and delegate recommended follow-up
  • Collaborate with Special Events team on event logistics, as needed
  • Create materials and execute Development Committee meetings alongside Development Committee Chair and CAO
  • Provide strategic support to the Board Liaison/Senior Gift Officer on Governance matters
  • Help to lead and execute Hollywood Bowl Affinity Group Events including invite lists, event logistics and post-event cultivation

Position Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience working for a mid- to large-sized non-profit organization, events and writing background preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or demonstrated comparable experience
  • Strong capacity for executing small and large events for high-level donors
  • Comfortable working with Board of Directors and other donors
  • Excellent business professional level communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills and demonstrated ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environment within resource constraints and deadlines
  • Intermediate business professional proficiency with desktop computing applications (e.g. Microsoft Calendar, Word, Excel), research capabilities, and fundraising software tools (e.g. Tessitura)
