Position Description

The Accounts Receivable and Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for aiding in the successful administration of the business activities of the branch. Responsibilities include branch account receivable management, member relations, accounts payable, human resources/payroll needs, clerical support, and records management. The Accounts Receivable and Human Resource Coordinator is expected to serve as the back office and HR lead and provide leadership to keep the branch at the forefront of business operations.



High school Diploma or equivalent

A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a fast paced office environment, preferred

Strong oral and written communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, data entry and word processing skills 


Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

a) Daily preparation of cash reports and deposits

b) Process refunds

c) Prepare and send billing

d) Monitor automatic payments and receivables

e) Assist with member account inquiries and corrections


a) Serve as lead membership collections and retention person for two YMCA branches

b) Manage declined automatic payments, NSF checks, and credit card charge backs

c) Prepare and send out invoices for delinquent membership and program accounts

d) Maintain excellent communication with department leadership regarding AR information

Human Resources

a) Maintain employee files and ensure that all confidential information is kept secure

b) Serve as lead on all employment status changes, on-boarding and separations

c) Manage Leave of Absence and Workers Compensation Claims f) Monitor electronic timesheets and schedules


a) Assist with data entry and record keeping

b) Assist with donor correspondence and recognition


a) Word processing production for the administrative office

b) Provide administrative support, including the composition and preparation of routine correspondence and presentations using computer software applications

c) Perform photocopying and other production services

d) Advise supervisor of any issues to ensure excellent member service at all times
