Job Description

Summary: The IT Manager at Children’s Hunger Fund is responsible for the management, strategy, and implementation of technology for the organization. The IT Director provides oversight of the organization’s infrastructure of application and network systems, cloud services, management of the IT budget, researching and implementing strategic technology solutions, and managing vendor and software relationships.   Responsibilities:
  • Implement a strategic technology plan based upon the organizational vision and goals providing a cost effective infrastructure to facilitate the timely analysis of critical information
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of all technology assets (enterprise support) for all locations
  • Preserve data and system integrity with proper cybersecurity safeguards and controls as well as a disaster recovery plan
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures supporting the organization’s technology, ensuring best practices
  • Develop essential relationships with an IT team of two (Currently, Help Desk Technician and Business Analyst) by providing strong leadership, guidance and development
  • Work closely with the executive team, departmental directors as well as external vendors, providing insight and recommendations for organizational IT needs
  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting technology requirements, participating in the budgeting process, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances from plan, initiating correction action
  • Actively participate in required meetings and events (e.g. staff meeting, department meeting, Toy Wrap)
  • Confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; active member of an evangelical Christian local church; demonstrates ongoing growth in Christian maturity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Proven current experience as an IT leader with increasing technology knowledge and responsibility of at least 7 years 
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, customer/client focus, and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of Windows Server environment, including virtual machines
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software/networking)
  • Experience in implementing new systems
  • Ability to foresee possible issues and troubleshoot them proactively
  • Nonprofit, distribution and retail operations knowledge a plus
  • Microsoft, Cisco certifications a plus
  • Salesforce knowledge a plus
  • Excellent organization and leadership skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
