Reporting to the Managing Director, Marketing and Communications, the Director, Digital Marketing will be responsible for the development and execution of the Academy’s digital marketing strategy and will contribute to the Academy’s organizational strategic operations. The Director will execute a global consumer engagement plan, directly managing online activities that promote, enhance, and protect the organization’s brand reputation and strategic goals. You will be responsible for the Academy’s digital marketing products and services including: websites, apps, social media platforms, email campaigns and other online communications. In particular, you will be responsible for achieving the Academy’s goal of connecting filmmakers with fans.
Develop and implement a strategic fan engagement plan across digital platforms and products to advance the Academy’s brand identity, broaden awareness of its programs and priorities, and increase the visibility of its programs across key audiences.
Develop all elements of the Academy’s social strategy, designing and driving the Academy’s worldwide social content and tactics including paid media.
Manage campaign results and analytics.
Oversee development of website and new media projects including apps; manage relationships with associated vendors and partners.
Serve as digital marketing expert, both internally and externally as a representative of the Academy.
Minimum of 10-12 years senior leadership experience in interactive/online, digital advertising, emails campaigns, and key social media platforms (including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Medium and Snapchat, etc.).
Creative thinking and ability to strategize in the field of emerging media.
Knowledge and understanding of social media tools and techniques, new technologies, search, trends, and the latest in marketing innovation.
Experience in integrating content into multiple online distribution channels.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially interpersonal communication with a diverse range of people and talent.
Must be highly detail oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and demanding timeframes.
