Job Description

The HR Associate I position is a vital resource for Human Resources, performs the full spectrum of the Employment/On-boarding of new employees.  Additionally, performs a variety of human resources functions, including compensation, employee relations, and compliance, and other HR processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance for recruitment activities including job postings, background checks, credentialing verification's, develops and coordinates new employee offer letters for positions within the organization
  • Assist in the on-boarding process of new hires including, new hire paperwork, and organizing and conducting orientation
  • Assist in the maintenance of all employee files and related record keeping of personnel data, I-9 records, and personnel records; conduct routine audits
  • Conduct I-9 employment verification's for all new hires and collect relevant documentation
  • May input and ensure timely transmission of new and rehire employee data, resignations and terminations within our HR system
  • May review, revise and write job descriptions
  • May conduct reclassification and transfer review and process, including HRIS updates and communication
  • May complete and submit data to a variety of compensation surveys
  • May act as subject matter expert for the applicant tracking system
  • May assists in preparation of job family matrices and on a variety of compensation activities and projects
  • May conduct licensure, credentialing and general compliance activities
  • May assist with basic investigations including associated research
  • May assist in developing human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action
  • Other duties as required and is subject to change at any time

 

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of related HR work experience

Special Skills Required to Perform this Position:

  • Working knowledge of current general employment/labor law including federal, state and local statutes such as, EEOC, affirmative action, FMLA, FLSA and immigration regulations and guidelines
  • Computer skills (including typing, emails, software use), HRIS, 10-key, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Applicant Tracking Systems and databases
  • Strong written and verbal communication;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to set priorities;
  • Strong problem solving, decision making skills;
  • Ability to interpret data;
  • Detail oriented, organizational and analytical skills;
  • Ability to  read/write; proficient in understanding and communication of the spoken and written English language;
  • Ability to meet established deadlines;
  • Strong critical thinking skills;
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality with sensitive employee information;
  • Ability to present information to employee for training, open enrollment, audits, investigations, etc., as required;
  • Ability to clearly explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures;
  • Ability to be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
