Job Description

The Product Owner will focus on developing and enhancing The Trevor Project’s Salesforce platform and external integrations with a fantastic team of Salesforce engineers. You will help to implement technology solutions by taking the lead of a scrum team as the Product Owner. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, users, product managers, and developers to determine product requirements, with a keen eye for using data to drive decisions. You will own your product backlog, and have a deep understanding of the impact each task will have on users, and how it will move The Trevor Project towards its organizational goals.

What you’ll do   

  • Work with stakeholders to turn their problem statements and pain points into technical requirements  
  • Document product feature requirements in user stories in collaboration with development team and other stakeholders  
  • Create well-defined user stories, spikes, and bugs with a clear “definition of done”  
  • Communicate the business value of new features that will impact users and stakeholders  
  • Triage bug fixes and feature requests for new and existing products  
  • Ensure the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on  
  • Drive quality assurance and feature validation activities to ensure successful product operation and user satisfaction  
  • Provide vision and direction to the agile development team and stakeholders throughout releases and projects  
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends, and refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback  
  • Manage communication with business units to report status and negotiate delivery expectations
