Job Description

The AIDS/LifeCycle Marketing Manager works with the Marketing Director and Digital Marketing Manager to help develop and execute an integrated marketing and media plan for AIDS/LifeCycle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1) Works as a member of the AIDS/LifeCycle marketing team under the direction of the Marketing Director to produce assets and copy for the annual marketing plan including but not limited to: AIDSLifeCycle.org, Social Media, Digital Advertising, Outdoor Advertising, Print Advertising, Direct Mail, Email, Other Collateral;
2) Assists in cultivating and managing the AIDS/LifeCycle brand voice; particularly in email communications, social media accounts, and website, with a clear, consistent voice that adheres to brand guidelines;
3) Assists in managing third-party vendors in creative design and distribution;
4) Creates and manages a digital assets catalogue, including catalogue of Ride photography;
5) Field work includes: event production assistance, event attendance, on weekends and evenings;
6) Partners with Digital Marketing Manager to maintain a consistent participant experience and marketing narrative;
7) Serves as Ride-staff for the upload, download, and week of AIDS/LifeCycle event. Additional responsibilities may be assigned, as necessary, including administrative duties, volunteer supervision, safety monitoring, vendor relations, customer service, recruitment, and sales supervision;
8) Other duties as assigned;

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
1) Experience working with the LGBTQ community and familiarity with issues of particular relevance to LGBTQ people;
2) A passion for the Center’s work and its mission to make the world a better place for LGBTQ people;
3) Three to five years of experience or equivalent education required;
4) Graphic design experience required (work samples or portfolio submission required); Adobe Creative Design Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Lightroom);
5) Basic HTMLfor working on marketing emails (MailChimp, Constant Contact, Dream Weaver, etc.) is required;
6) Experience in video management or production (in Adobe Premiere, or similar program) is a plus;
7) Basic WordPress knowledge is a plus;
8) Copywriting experience required;
9) Project management experience required;
10) Marketing and branding experience required;
11) Direct knowledge of AIDS/LifeCycle or similar fundraising cycling events preferred;
12) Exceptional ability to work well under pressure, manage and prioritize projects with multiple and often competing deadlines, and meet all set deadlines;
13) Ability to work independently, under supervision, and, or in a team-based and goal-oriented environment;
14) Strong familiarity with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, design software a plus;
15) Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
16) Strong organizational, detail and interpersonal skills;
17) Able and willing to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends regularly, often for long periods of time;
18) Able to be onsite for the AIDS/LifeCycle event for approximately two weeks each year;
19) Access to reliable transportation and the ability to be insured;
20) Ability to engage and involve individuals in the work, programs, activities and events for and on behalf of the Los Angeles LGBT Center (Center) and the LGBTQ community;
21) Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities, socio-economic backgrounds, religions, ages, English-speaking abilities, immigration statues, and physical abilities in a multicultural environment;
