ICLC is searching for a talented, full-time Attorney with prior SSI, SSDI or other disability benefits experience for a ground-breaking new project that will help homeless individuals with disabilities gain access to critical income-support benefits. This Project will provide technical assistance, training, and other support on disability benefits applications for homeless individuals throughout Los Angeles County.
This is a unique opportunity for an attorney to join an exciting new project that will positively impact thousands of individuals’ lives in Los Angeles. This will likely include working directly with staff and leadership at the Social Security Administration and Department of Public Social Services in Los Angeles County. The Attorney may also represent clients in administrative hearings to challenge incorrect denials of SSI, SSDI or CAPI benefits. The Attorney may also participate in other projects related to improving these systems and may perform other duties as needed. The Attorney may also work closely with pro bono attorneys volunteering on this project.
