Job Description

Overview

The Talent Acquisition Manager provides leadership, support, advocacy and vision to our hiring efforts. S/he will help develop, implement and oversee recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing proactive, equitable, and consistent recruitment and hiring processes. The Talent Acquisition Manager will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent and will work closely with Human Resources, the leadership team, and hiring managers across a portfolio of programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Develop new strategies and processes to establish recruitment objectives that are in complianceand aligned with strategic objectives of our organization and programs.  
  • Work with human resources department, hiring managers, and programs to evaluate and confirm current and future hiring needs.
  • Responsible for hands-on recruitment and selection efforts for a cohort of programs.
  • Assists with designing and updating sourcing, interviewing, and employment processes. 
  • Assist with development and approval of job descriptions, templates, and interview questions to ensure alignment with position requirements and grant compliance. 
  • Supervise, manage, and train a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists and support staff. 
  • Manage recruitment efforts and advertising budgets.
  • Set clear goals and benchmarks for recruitment
  • Work closely with hiring managers and leadership to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Advise and train hiring managers on best practices. 
  • Provide key input on strategic hiring procedures and improve upon recruitment measures.
  • Maintain, document, and track data and reporting metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in regular meetings, events, and trainings.
  • Stay up-to-date on candidate sourcing and tracking tools, methods, policies, and software.
  • Build YPI’s professional network by serving as a brand ambassador and establishing relationships with association memberships, colleges, schools, community organizations, outside agencies, and other stakeholders.
