LIFT-Los Angeles is seeking a Development Coordinator for its team. The Development Coordinator will support fundraising efforts by offering institutional grant writing and project management, back office and operational services, gift stewardship, social media content creation, communications support, volunteer recruitment and training, event coordination and other Development-specific special projects. Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, the Development Coordinator role provides an exciting opportunity for an emerging development professional to grow his or her skills in a dynamic and nimble workplace. AS A DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR, YOU WILL: ·Support the team in telling the stories of the families we serve by documenting their stories, writing newsletters, and creating content for social media ·Manage all grant operations including some proposal and report writing, editing and grant calendar management ·Recruit and coordinate volunteers to support in events ·Lead on special events such as cultivation events and donor engagement opportunities ·Support donor visits and board meetings ·Plan and manage the stewardship program for LA-based donors, including strategizing around communications and engagement touch points ·Create content for pitch decks ·Effectively and accurately update fundraising efforts in Salesforce; supporting frontline fundraisers in capturing their work in Salesforce ·Manage other projects as required   OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE ·You have a Bachelor’s Degree. ·You are an excellent writer and verbal communicator, and you take pride in creating compelling stories and content. ·You have experience in the grants process ·You possess event planning experience. ·You have experience using Salesforce or a donor management system (strongly preferred). ·You have a track record of being customer service oriented. ·You are a high-functioning teammate and excel at working collaboratively. ·You are highly detail-oriented. ·You are committed to LIFT’s mission, and you demonstrate LIFT’s core values of diversity, equity, relationships, excellence, and hope. POSITION OVERVIEW The LIFT Coach is responsible for facilitating one-on-one coaching relationships with parents to support them in achieving self-determined career, educational and financial goals. The LIFT Coach engages parents in goal setting and action planning, monitors parents’ progress, and provides accountability and encouragement to parents over time. The LIFT Coach also connects parents to relevant community resources and information, and guides them as they practice new behaviors, actions, and skills necessary to reach goals. Finally, the LIFT Coach will additionally provide support on LIFT’s other projects, services, and parent recruitment efforts, as needed. AS A LIFT COACH, YOU WILL: Create a positive, welcoming climate for parents and their families. Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, partner agency staff members, and the local community. Provide high-quality coaching to 10-20 parents to support their achievement of career and financial goals. Conduct follow-up research on behalf of parents on topics relevant to their goals. Participate actively in daily debriefs with LIFT staff and fellow coaches. Support in the recruitment of new parents into the program. Support retention of parents in coaching through regular phone calls and emails. Provide regular upward feedback to LIFT’s Program Team to improve the design and effectiveness of LIFT’s coaching program. Provide short-term resource assistance to parents who are not currently eligible for coaching Maintain accurate files/records and document services to parents in LIFT’s online case management system. Maintain confidentiality in all matters regarding the children and families served.
