DCRC is an Center for Independent Living. As such, we are a community-based, cross-disability, non-profit organization that is designed for and operated by people with disabilities. We operate according to a strict philosophy of consumer control, wherein people with all types of disabilities directly govern and staff the organization. We provide: Peer Support, Information and Referral, Individual and Systems Advocacy, Independent Living Skills Training, and Transition Support.

We work together with persons living with any type of disability, including but not limited to: intellectual, developmental, hearing, learning, mobility impaired, physical, mental health, substance abuse, traumatic brain injury and visual disabilities.
