By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately balanced ocean ecosystems, Sea Shepherd works to ensure their survival for future generations.   Job brief: We are seeking an organized, friendly, hard-working, and proactive Outreach Manager to join Sea Shepherd Conservation Society’s Headquarter location in Burbank, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with volunteers and a broad understanding of non-profit management. You’ll work directly with our 23+ chapters around the US and Canada, and will be responsible for providing them with support, including event coordination, conflict management, data analysis, reporting, and more. You’ll also be tasked with general communications for the organization both via email and over the phone. Communication skills, management experience, and organization skills are a must.   Responsibilities: Support the chapters’ fundraising, outreach, education, and direct-action efforts through effective management solutions. Assist in the planning of events for all chapters, including pre/post event coordination and reporting. Maintain current filing system and reporting practices. Use Raiser’s Edge software to complete data entry on volunteers, event data, and all communications with donors.  Manage all communications for the department, including monitoring multiple social media pages, sending out official emails on behalf of the organization, and answering the general information line. Process all incoming Onshore Volunteer applications, and ensure all volunteer policies are adhered to. Improve all systems and available materials to enable continuous growth for the department Update the website chapter pages and calendar of events. Work closely with the COO as well as the Merchandise, Media, and Development Departments to ensure a continuous and clear message. Requirements: ·     Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) ·     Excellent communication skills ·     Understanding of CRM databases is preferred, knowledge of Raiser’s Edge is a plus ·     Experience working with or managing volunteers ·     Extreme attention to detail ·     Graphic Design Skills a plus. ·     Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain an organized work flow ·     Bachelor’s degree and 2 years working for a non-profit or management position required.   Benefits Medical/Dental/Vision, paid vacation/sick time, 401k,   How To Apply hr@seashepherd.org https://www.seashepherd.org Include resume/CV as a PDF attachment
