The Customer Care Specialist is the first point of contact for inquiries of all types (phone, web, email or in person), and is responsible for providing the highest level of service to all members, both external and internal. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides a high level of professional, knowledgeable and consistent customer service and support for customer facing interactions and for a high volume of phone and email cases. Using problem solving, conflict resolution and active listening skills, clarifies desired information or issues to resolve case promptly, professionally and compassionately. Utilizes, maintains and manages customer care case queue in Salesforce, a customer relationship management database, through data entry of information accurately and efficiently. With high level Salesforce access, assists customers with membership registration and technical issues, completing transfers, researching and resolving issues and updating information in the database. Provides assistance to customers for a number of other database systems including Personify, Ebudde and Digital Order Card. Manages, tracks and prepares bank letters to troops requesting bank account set up or changing signers including verifying qualification of troop signers. Manages and submits requests: To insurance company for additional activity insurance for troops and service units. To background screening company for links for specialized background screening checks following up with manual entry into Salesforce.  Manages various office duties such as office supply inventory including ordering supplies, receipting of payments and assisting the site manager with various office tasks. Assists with administrative support to other departments including distribution of materials and reservation/rental of resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Skill, Experience and Education Skill, Experience & Education Strong Oral and Written Communication abilities (in person, verbal, written, phone, other electronic media) – Expresses ideas and facts in a clear and understandable manner; active listening skills to gain understanding of what others are saying; demonstrates ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues. Bi-lingual skills is an asset. Demonstrated experience in providing prompt and excellent customer service in person, via phone, in writing, and through electronic media providing high customer satisfaction. Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality. Ability to multi-task, stay organized and problem solve with great attention to detail. Experience using customer support software and a CRM -- preferably Salesforce. A love of solving problems, learning new things and making customers happy. High school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of customer service experience. The environment for this position is mostly clean and comfortable but may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc. In the course of performing this work, the incumbent: Will spend time sitting, utilizing the computer. Will spend time standing/walking throughout the facilities. Must travel via personal vehicle or public transport to various facilities throughout the region. Articulating the strength of our brand is critical to our continued success as the largest serving girl organization in Greater Los Angeles. The power of the Girl Scout Movement is often blurred due to historic misconceptions. This position is for a highly motivated individual with experience in shifting brand perception, who will thrive creatively by sharing our powerful girl stories. The Marketing Specialist (Brand Management) is a full-time employee of the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles (GSGLA) and reports to the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Advocacy. The specialist will play a key role in building the GSGLA brand, and increasing the awareness and visibility of GSGLA among the general public and GSGLA external constituents. He/she is responsible for managing, shaping, and improving the perception of the GSGLA brand and mission through the strategic execution of marketing campaigns, and strategic partnerships and sponsorships. In collaboration with the marketing and communications team, this function includes but is not limited to the following: building brand awareness, expanding our visibility in membership target markets, and fundraising efforts and signature events that inspire prospects and donors to support GSGLA with their time, talent, and treasure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Brand Marketing Campaigns: Proactively manage innovation across external marketing and advertising vehicles and provide competitive insight into our branding strategies. Analyze and recommend potential new products/vehicles to enhance the marketing/communications work of the organization. Actively work to build a broad understanding of Girl Scouts on both a local and national level. Understand and interpret how the program benefits girls and women in the community and address this knowledge in marketing and advertising efforts. Work closely with the Director to help define the vision for the GSGLA brand, ensuring brand consistency across all channels, and platforms. Work closely with the Director to develop a comprehensive suite of externally focused marketing and messaging materials, providing creative direction and communicating a compelling brand position. Partner with key members of the Marketing & Communications team to ensure integration of brand marketing, PR, digital, email, social media and content strategies and initiatives that drive brand visibility and loyalty Partnerships & Sponsorships: Manage and execute annual strategic marketing plan and goals for GSGLA to reach appropriate target audiences, based upon specific performance goals. Evaluate the success of various strategies and provide and implement recommendations for improvement. Support the management of strategic partnerships, including corporate partnerships, event sponsorships and cause marketing partnerships Provide direction on the production of signature events ranging in scale from intimate prospect events to large-scale fundraising events, including: programming and content, and all-related marketing collateral Provide courteous, consistent, professional and knowledgeable customer service to external constituents Develop, manage, and produce materials to create a cohesive image and message for externally facing vehicles, including, but not limited to the following: Extensive Out-Of-House marketing campaigns Council magazine Recruitment and outreach collateral Annual Report Create and edit marketing and promotional materials according to specific organizational/departmental needs and requirements Other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Advocacy.   Skill, Experience & Education Minimum of 5 years demonstrated, progressive experience in marketing, advertising, graphic design and communications Marketing experience in areas outside of Brand/Consumer Marketing (e.g., CRM, digital marketing, e-commerce, customer insights, sales, strategy consulting) Outstanding graphic design, oral communication and sales skills Excellent organization and project management skills Effective decision making with a high level of personal integrity and professionalism High proficiency in Adobe Creative (or similar software) High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Ability to work in a PC environment Experience in media planning and buying a plus CMS, HTML, email marketing and print production process familiarity a plus Must be a team player with an excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to relationship-building for the organization Proven ability to successfully handle multiple projects and meet critical deadlines Non-profit experience; experience in Girl Scout organization a plus Flexibility to attend evening and/or weekend meetings and/or events Valid California driver’s license, vehicle in working condition, proof of insurance and the ability to fulfill timely and extensive travel requirements across a large geographical area Able to pass a criminal background check Bachelor’s degree, preferably in graphic design, marketing, or related field

Job Summary The Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist is a full-time employee of the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles (GSGLA) and reports to the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Advocacy. This individual is responsible for the design and creation of GSGLA marketing and branded collateral and works closely with all internal customers including staff focused on the mission-driven work of our Movement.  In collaboration with the Mission Delivery teams (product programs and retail, outreach, recruitment, volunteer and troop support, and program teams) build awareness of and increase attendance in council activities. The Marketing and Design Specialist (Constituents) maintains Girl Scouts’ national brand integrity in all GSGLA materials in order to strategically position the organization as the preeminent organization for girls and young women grades K-12 across all platforms. S/he is responsible for consistent and cohesive design that seamlessly aligns our marketing and communications materials for our 65,000 members residing in the communities of Los Angeles County and portions of Kern County, San Bernardino County and Ventura County. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan, create, implement and track girl and volunteer-focused campaigns that encourage girl and volunteer participation in council activities that are mission-focused and promote the positive girl-led, girl-focused Girl Scouts Leadership Experience. This includes campaign in areas such as: Cookie program (nationally recognized as largest Girl-Led Entrepreneurial Business in the country) Fall product program (national sales program of nuts, magazines, etc.) Council-led programming in Leadership, STE(A)M, Life Skills, and Outdoors Programs Membership Retention of girls and volunteers (volunteer and parent focused communications and incentives) Council events (a variety of mid to large scale special events for various audiences including girls, troops,  and volunteers) Management, production, and delivery of GSGLA collateral, including but not limited to: Full design, layout, and imagery ownership of GSGLA collateral produced for our 65,000 members. Fund Development Manager, Foundations Relations is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing corporate and foundation grant strategies to meet or exceed budget goals and expand public support of Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles (GSGLA). He/she will have the opportunity to share stories of our successes and our goals and plays a critical role in the collaborative work of the External Relations and Mission Delivery teams. He/she will serve as a leading author in some of our most strategic initiatives to build a growing culture of philanthropy with Girl Scouts and the corporate and private foundations in the Greater Los Angeles region. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a portfolio of 60-70 foundation and corporate funders, including current and prospect leads, with strong stewardship and cultivation. Research and assess new grant opportunities that match GSGLA’s goals and objectives Seek warm leads for cultivation and stewardship among staff and board Move corporate and foundation donor prospects along the giving path with timely identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship/reporting follow through Lead internal grants communications. Provide written and verbal updates on grants progress to Executive Leadership Team as well as Board Fund Development Committee Lead conversations with Mission Delivery staff to identify funding opportunities. This requires an in-depth knowledge of the Girl Scouts Movement and business operations and strategic goals. Create accurate and compelling applications that tell our stories and articulate our plans for growth, as well as  complete reports highlighting progress Build strong and productive relationships with other department staff, identify funding opportunities and enhance donor communications Build strong and productive relationships with key funders that have the potential to open new doors in the Foundation community Develop funding tool kits for each program opportunity including case statements and detailed program budgets Maintain a strong focus on capital campaign fundraising around our expanding service centers and camps Evaluate and refine corporate and foundation giving strategies on a weekly basis in collaboration with Director of Development Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in donor database Develop a comprehensive tracking system utilizing Raiser’s Edge to ensure that foundation and corporate milestones are all met by required due dates.
