Want to help create a more equitable food system and fight food waste? FoodCycle LA, which connects excess food with people in need, is seeking an Outreach and Partner Manager to help us grow our network of food donors, receiving agencies, volunteers, and collaborators.   If you love building community while uniting people and organizations behind great causes, there couldn’t be a better time to get involved. There’s so much work to be done in this space; while up to 40% of food in the United States is wasted, 1 out of 7 people and 1 out of 5 children are food insecure in Los Angeles County. Our organization is growing quickly in an effort to recover as much surplus food as we can and divert it to shelters, kitchens, and groups that feed people experiencing homelessness and others in need.   With many food-based businesses unsure of how to best handle their excess supply, and receiving agencies in desperate need of resources, the Outreach and Partner Manager will be a crucial component of our organization’s success. This position reports directly to the CEO and will be responsible for leading a growing team of drivers.   If you want to join us in these efforts, please send your resume to  along with a brief intro of yourself that lets us know why you’re a great candidate for this position, and why you want to be involved in this initiative!   Position Responsibilities: Grow our network of donors, recipients, collaborating organizations, and volunteers Develop strong funnel, generating own leads and following them from pitch to close Ensure the success and happiness of all of our partners, consistently developing strong relationships within our network and community as a whole Establish customized food donation plans for businesses by assessing needs and maintaining a schedule Manage a delivery schedule on behalf of recipients Monitor our app for incoming donations and dispatch drivers as needed Lead a growing team of food recovery drivers, including employees, ICs, and volunteers   Qualifications At least three years of experience in sales, business-to-business relations, or similar Management experience of a remote team desired but not necessary Comfortable cold pitching businesses in person on new opportunities; track record of success is a plus Tech-savvy, with an ability to adapt to, understand and use different types of software, including our web-based food donation logistics software Passion for our causes; hands-on experience in the field is a plus Strong team player and proven community builder Ability to work remotely
