Business Development Manager

 

Plan and implement effective strategies to recruit, retain and manage new Sponsor organizations and relationships to achieve established incremental growth collection goals. Focus may be on New Business development, specific Vertical Markets, specific Key Accounts or other specialized targets as defined by regional management. Develop potential Sponsor leads. Educate Sponsor chairpersons in organizational requirements. Provide ongoing support to Sponsors and implement appropriate special donor recruitment programs. Provide accurate record keeping in Hemasphere and participate in sponsor recognition.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all functions of Account Managers I & II within assigned jurisdiction to ensure achievement of overall recruitment goals.
  • Develop overall annual and long-term recruitment plans in assigned region with incremental growth strategies and methods for implementation.
  • As required, serve as a creative and operational resource to assigned Account Managers to assure consistent and effective implementation of recruitment plan.
  • Schedule and implement education programs for Sponsor contact, line volunteers and volunteer telerecruiters within assigned groups to assist in meeting collection objectives and to comply with all ARCBS directives, Code of Federal Regulations, local operating procedures and other related regulatory requirements.
  • Develop a working knowledge for the region territory, including but not limited to its government, demographics organizations, and competitive profile.  Apply that knowledge to all aspects of servicing Sponsor groups and the expansion of designated markets.
  • Coordinate activities with appropriate collections personnel to support a positive Sponsor and Donor experience and smooth, efficient operations.
  • Maintain accurate records in Hemasphere to provide tracking and statistical data on Sponsor group performance.
  • Assist in developing approaches to effect maximum blood donor participation of each assigned market segment.
  • May be responsible for problem solving in the servicing and sales of each assigned specialized donor segments.

Perform other related duties as necessary.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications or equivalent combination of related education and experience required. 
  • Minimum of five years related experience required.  Two years successful Recruitment Representative experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of C-Level suite sales, group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred. 
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including training and presentation skills is required.  A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
